The Northbrook Public Library Foundation has decided to re-open the “Book a Brick” program.
The existing bricks form a permanent, commemorative walkway just outside the main entrance. Now, with just a few dozen blank bricks remaining, we invite you to add your family or business name to those of other supportive library friends.
The Library is committed to being a vital source of information to the Northbrook business and residential community. Your contribution to the Book a Brick program will not only highlight your name in a most visible way, but will assist the Foundation in fulfilling its commitment to the library.
- Profits from the “Book a Brick” program will be used to support the Northbrook Public Library Foundation. The Northbrook Public Library Foundation is dedicated to raising funds for major facility projects at the library.
- Each brick is tinted concrete, engraved with inscriptions of your choice. Some suggestions: name(s) and date, in memory of or in honor of a family member or friend, in recognition of a business or organization. Certificates of acknowledgement will be sent.
- Brick size is 12” x 12”. The cost of the brick with 3 lines of inscription is $200.00. Deadline to purchase bricks is February 29, 2008.
- Make checks payable to the Northbrook Public Library Foundation. Donations to the Northbrook Public Library Foundation are deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
- Bricks will be installed in the walkway leading to the east entrance of the library along with previously installed bricks. Installation is planned for spring.
- Additional questions? Please call Anna Amen at 847-272-6229.
