About our Study Rooms
Anyone with a registered library card in good standing can reserve one of our 2nd-floor study rooms up to a week in advance. Patrons are limited to one study room booking a day for up to two hours. To reserve a study room, use the "Reserve a Study Room" link at the bottom of this page, our library app, or one of the reservation kiosks available at the Reference and Youth Services desks on the 2nd floor. Please note: A registered library card in good standing is required to use a study room. If you need a library card or have a card from a library other than Northbrook, please visit one of our Welcome desks in the lobby to register your card. Study rooms cannot be reserved over the phone or in person. You will need your library card number and PIN/Password to use a study room. If you don’t know your PIN/Password, you can reset it here. For assistance reserving a study room online, please visit the Reference Desk on the 2nd floor or call 847-272-4873.

As the requestor, remain present throughout the entire reservation and be responsible for damage to the room or its contents.

Abide by our Public Code of Behavior.

Adhere to posted room occupancy limits.

Be mindful of volume and activity that may disrupt usage of study rooms for others.

Snacks and covered beverages are allowed in study rooms. Please enjoy meals or foods with strong smells in the 1st floor cafe area.

Arrive within 15 minutes of your registered start time or forfeit your reservation.
In order to provide a welcoming place for everyone using the study rooms, the library reserves the right to revoke study room usage if the above requirements are not met.
