After hundreds of votes were counted, Hedgehogs and the City, directed by Evalds Lacis (Latvia), has won the "Best of Fest" Prize at the 3rd Annual Northbrook International Children's Film Fest, held at the Northbrook Public Library on Saturday, November 24. In this charming stop motion film, a group of animals led by two clever hedgehogs, collaborate to reclaim the homes they lost when a city was built.
This nationally touring festival was presented by the International Children's Media Center (ICMC), and included nine short films from eight different countries, including India, Argentina, Denmark, Latvia, Slovenia, England, Spain, and the United States.
