Northbrook Library cardholders ages 21 or older can submit a request to rent our 225-seat Auditorium for an event. Please read the information below before you submit your reservation request. Reservations will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis and will not be accepted more than 2 months in advance or less than 3 weeks in advance, with a maximum of four reservations per calendar year. We will review and approve all rental requests based on our meeting room guidelines.
Auditorium Rental Fees
Auditorium Space Hourly Rate (3 Hour Minimum)
You must include setup and takedown time in the rental time. Please refer to our open hours.
$150 per hour (3 hours minimum)

Personnel Rental Rate
Each rental requires 2 house technicians. After 5 hours, there will be additional staffing fees. Fees will be based on the needs of the event and determined at the time of booking.
- (2) House Technicians, $120 per hr
- (1) Light Designer, $120 per hr
- (1) Security Person, $53 per hr
Equipment Fees
The hourly rental rate includes up to 12 stage chairs, onstage tables, backstage tables, and standard lighting. Additional equipment can be added to the rental, including:
- Handheld Wireless Speaking Mic, $25 per mic, per rental
- Podium, $10 per rental day
- Projector,* $100 per rental day
- PC Laptop, $50 per rental day
- Mac Laptop, $50 per rental day
- Baby Grand Piano, $75 per rental day
- Auxiliary Sound System (for concerts and bands)*, $125 per rental day
* Quotes for additional equipment can be provided.
