Terry Cichocki, Northbrook Village forester, will discuss local tree history. Arborist Paul Hollingsworth will explain tree disease and treatment. Landscape architect Camille Stauber will review tree ecology and soil. Finally, bird expert Libby Hill will examine how trees help birds survive. Go Green Northbrook President Doug Gerleman will moderate the discussion.

Morton Arboretum vice-president Kris Bachtell and Sustainable Places founder Camille Stauber will join us to discuss The Hidden Life of Trees: What They Feel, How They Communicate by Peter Wohlleben. Wohlleben’s book draws on scientific discoveries to explore the similarities between trees and human families. Reading the book is optional. Drop-ins welcome.
