A free workshop on effective business writing is the latest offering from the Lake Cook Career Collaborative, a partnership among local public libraries to provide free access to high-quality career development resources. These workshops are free and open to anyone; no library card is required.

Organizations of all kinds highly value professionals who can write well. In the upcoming workshop, Improve Your Business Writing (Zoom) on Saturday, November 5 from 1:00-2:30pm, participants will learn techniques that motivate others to read, understand, enjoy and agree with your written messages.

The workshop is led by College of Lake County career coach Michael Sugarman, who has developed more than 40 employee development workshops and has trained individuals and companies around the world. Sign up online to receive the Zoom link.

Other upcoming in-person and virtual programs offered by the Career Collaborative group include:

The group also offers on-demand workshops, including Manage Your Presence Online, Building the Perfect Resume, and What Ted Lasso Should Teach You About Your Career

All programs are free and open to anyone. Visit CareerCollab.org for details and to sign up.
