This friendly youth solo competition is open to all musicians (both voice and instrument) ages 11-18. Winners will be invited to perform a full recital in our Auditorium in the summer and the Grand Prize winner will be invited to perform a second recital at the Wilmette Public Library. Applications will be accepted through January 21.
Age Group: Ages 11-18 (pre-College)
Instruments: Any instrumentalist/vocalist is welcome to apply.
Repertoire: Any works from the canon of classical/art music.
- For vocalists: Works from musical theatre are acceptable as long as they are not a majority of the program.
- We suggest you choose works that fit into a cohesive recital format.
- Chamber ensembles of 3 or greater are not accepted at this time. Please choose either solo works or works with piano accompaniment.
