About the One Book selection, Clark and Division by Naomi Hirahara
Set in 1944 Chicago, this New York Times bestseller examines the themes of race, prejudice, and belonging, telling the story of a young woman's journey to find the truth behind her sister's death. Exploring what it means to be Japanese American during WWII, Hirahara uses her extensive knowledge of the time period and internment camps to tell an immersive historical mystery that brings the Ito family's struggles to life.
