For the fourth year in a row, we've been awarded a 5 Star rating from the Library Journal Index of Public Library Service! Out of more than 9,000 libraries in the country, we are one of only 10 libraries across the nation in our budget category to receive the highest rating, which is based on our return on investment to the community.

Northbrook Public Library is partnering with the League of Women Voters to invite you to attend “Fact, Fiction, or Opinion? How to Become a Well Informed Voter and Citizen,” an expert panel discussion on the importance of media literacy and finding unbiased, factual information on Tuesday, March 14 from 7:00-8:00pm. Free library cards for ALL kids living in Northbrook, including in unincorporated areas, library cards no longer expire for Northbrook Residents, and we've lowered the age from 18 to 15 for Northbrook residents to be able to fill out a library card application without a parent or guardian present.
