In partnership with JCC Chicago, Northbrook Public Library invites the community to visit the “Triumph of the Spirit: Jewish Athletes Before, During, and After the Holocaust” exhibit on the library’s 2nd floor through June 15. The exhibit features a collection of photos and reproductions of rare memorabilia of famous Jewish Olympic athletes whose lives were tragically impacted by the Holocaust.

Have you ever walked by the entrance to the Collaboratory and noticed the vibrant, glimmering art on the wall? If so, you’ve seen the work of Northbrook resident Alisa Singer. But did you realize her beautiful art also conveys an important message? It was an exciting day for Glenbrook North High School alum Christina Li! Her book, Ruby Lost and Found, was awarded the Asian Pacific American Award for Children's Literature at the ALA Youth Media Awards on Tuesday, January 22. Also announced at the ceremony were the winners of the 2024 Caldecott, Coretta Scott King, Newbery, Printz, and many other honors for youth and teen books ...

Are you in need of a space for serious group studying? During Finals Cafe, we invite high school students studying for finals to head to the library for brain-boosting snacks throughout the day (while supplies last) and pizza at set times (see schedule). Students are also welcome to bring their own snacks, within reason — nothing messy or excessively smelly.
